Reflected light and color

is such a wonderful thing.

Little bits of shapes and shadows

in the right place and the

painting starts to take form.

Then comes the icing

on the cake, the highlights!

The silver porringer picks up the

reflected bits of color from

the pomegranate and the kiwi.

Debra J. Sepos Painitings

I've always loved vintage things.

These books have the very loved look.

Hopefully they contain a little bit of

wisdom to make a nice compliment to

the delicate beauty of the white orchid.

Debra J. Sepos Paintings

This exquisite silver teapot shares reflections

of the cup, saucer, dainty lace, and luscious

strawberries, in its silvery mirror finish.

Inviting light and movement plus juicy thick

highlights are attributes of this painting.

Antique Copper & Lavender

Antique Copper & Lavender

A wonderful friend of mine loaned

me some items to paint. This antique

copper coffee pot is just a delight.

It not only has an old glow of

copper, but it has a few dings and

dents, and it sits a little bit off

balance, making a more interesting

painting with lots of character.

I love how the shadow was bigger

than life also. The copper color was

bouncing all around.
