This is an actual place near our home.
A very beautiful and peaceful place.
It's a lagoon with a bridge
fashioned after Claude Monet's
garden bridge in Giverny France.
I painted this plein air just as
Claude Monet would have done.

This is a painting that I had listed

before, but it is the essence of summer

so I hope you enjoy seeing it again.

I was inspired by these petite beautiful

pansies. Every painting has a spot that is

just what the artist was aiming for.

In this painting I'm pleased with the

overall feeling of the painting, but I especially

like the the soft fallen petals and their

colorful shadows.

I inherited this lovely vintage

mason jar from my grandma

many years ago.

The lilac bush was outstanding this year

with many double blooms.

My favorite part of the painting is

the light play of colorful shadows.
