Spode Reflected
Spode Reflected5"x7" oil on gallery wrap linen...framing optional
This one was a challenge. Lots going on between
the perspective on the pitcher and the reflection.
I started it about a week ago and had to keep
looking at it for a while. I decided to add
several glazes. It helped take the background back
and tone the glass surface down just enough.

Shaker Garden
8"x10" original oil painting on archival canvas...
ready for framing
Lots to see in this old style garden. After a trip to Massachusetts
I was inspired to paint this lovely garden. Spring is just around the corner!

In A Jam
In A Jam6"x6" original oil on linen, gallery wrap...framing optional
A pretty little jam jar and some nice fresh strawberries,
and I couldn't resist the pun. As you probably realize
I do like to paint porcelain. Not only in oil, but painting
on the actual porcelain with china paints.
This is one of my blank pieces that hasn't been
painted on yet. You may see it at a later date with
perhaps a spray of beautiful strawberries.
The soft way the light hits the china
surface and the colors that reflect or soak
into the surface are very pleasing to my eyes.
Hope you enjoy it too!

Pure and Innocent, Daisies
Pure and Innocent, Daisies5"x7" original oil on linen, gallery wrap...framing optional
The title of this painting comes from the meaning of the flower.
Daisies have been labeled with the meaning of purity and truth and
innocence. I tried to keep this fresh and simple and 'pure'.
Hope it works.

Some of these paintings didn't get listed on the blog before they were sold.
Thought you might want to see them anyway.
The Sunny Seven sold to a wonderful lady I've know for a long time, but had no idea she had seven sisters. We had a good chuckle as she didn't see the title until she
had purchased the painting!

Time Out, Continued
Well, what was to be a short time out has
become a long time out.
Mom is ok, but only after several set backs.
Actually I would call it a roller coaster ride.
Not sure she would describe it that way.
She did well during the operation...it was after.
Many complications, a stoke, blood clot,
and about 21 days in the hospital an hour away.
To put it in perspective...it was to be a 5-7 day stay.
Anyway, thank the good Lord she is now in a rehab
place and gaining strength,
and it's only 10 mins away!
Hope to be painting again soon.
Still many nice paintings available in the store.
