breeders of both sheep & goats
(and
chickens too!)
use
alpacas as guard animal
protectors
for their flocks.
Alpacas
are often 'On Watch'
while
the other animals graze.
Alpacas
guard against foxes,
and
many other predators,
which
is most important during
lambing
& kidding season
when
the farms are abundant
with
newborn lambs and kids.
