I have been entering the Epiphany Arts Festival for several years.
It is a classy, high quality fun show featuring
different types of art and high quality crafts....
quilts, jewelry, furniture, sculpture, and more.
Artworks are displayed throughout the Narthex and Sanctuary
of the church. The show opens with a wonderful
opening reception and ends a month
later with a spectacular musical event featuring
a multitude of the church's choirs and
other invited guest performances.
I have included a few photos, but there
were many other performers and artworks...
too many to show.
The church's statement of purpose...
"The Christian Season of Epiphany opens with
the light of the stable star and the gifts of the Magi.
The offering of our commitments and talents
are manifestations of God's light and thus they
become a major theme for these weeks.
Epiphany occurs as nature begins to move from
shorter and darker to longer and brighter days.
It is in this special time that the church seeks
to celebrate the artists among us who
offer their insights and talents to the world.
Through the visual arts we hope to promote a
more profound sense of beauty and
greater communication with our
Creator, nature and each other.
In this way we expand our veneration of
God's creation, our self-understanding
and our attention to the world."

Standing beside one of the paintings before
it left for it's new home.

Creating heavenly sounds!
A visiting choir that performs each year.
Behind is the pipe organ that is superbly
played by a young man.
