A good friend of mine invite me to a

summer community near Marblehead Ohio.

Lakeside is right on Lake Erie. Several of our artist

friends were in a plein air paint out that started

early in the am and didn't end until 6pm. They were

painting about 12 hours, with a show and sale to follow.

We walked around and hunted for fellow artists

and also took in an art show in the auditorium.

Lakeside has been around since the early 1920's

and is rich with history, including many Victorian homes,

beautiful verandas and gardens. Needless to say, we had a

wonderful day with perfect weather. I think both of us have

decided to paint in the plein air paint out next year.

For this year, paintings from some of the photos will have to do.

On our walk we came across this old wicker chair 'planted'

in a garden with a few sun rays saying...."paint me"!
