Yellow Reflections
Yellow Reflections
5"x7" original oil painting, gallery wrap linen...framing optional
I love how white or nearly white take on the
surrounding colors. The white on the side of the
bowl picked up more yellow than the white
cloth then reflected it right back on the lemon
to the left of the bowl. Maybe artist are the only
people who get excited about reflected light and
color. Hopefully we artist can pass on the excitement!

Spode Reflected
Spode Reflected
5"x7" oil on gallery wrap linen...framing optional
This one was a challenge. Lots going on between
the perspective on the pitcher and the reflection.
I started it about a week ago and had to keep
looking at it for a while. I decided to add
several glazes. It helped take the background back
and tone the glass surface down just enough.
