Two Bartletts and a Bosc
Two Bartletts and a Bosc
5"x7" oil on linen, gallery wrap...framing optional
Lots of warm light softly falling on these pairs.
The Red Bartlett and the Bosc on the right have a dull
soft texture. The other Bartlett has a shiny skin, thus the high
reflection of light. It's always interesting to show the different
surfaces and the way the light reacts to them.

For the Love of Roses
For the Love of Roses
8"x10" oil on linen, gallery wrap
A bit of a twist with this painting, I used one of my
hand painted porcelain pieces for the subject matter.
I have been a china painter for many years...about 16.
It's a very different medium from oil painting.
The china paint goes on in thin layers that have to be
fired in the kiln at about 1400*.
This rose bowl vase has about 10-12 firings.
It also has 24K gold on the feet and the top edge.
Thought it was kind of a fun idea with one of my last pink roses.
