The Iris carries many meanings, such as
faith, hope, wisdom,
courage and admiration.
This courageous survivor of many years
gave me a lovely bloom to paint
after many years of hiding.
It was part of a clump that was here
when we moved into home
over 30 years ago.
I guess it wasn't finished blooming after all!
